| South Thailand round trip from coast to coast. Travel from Phuket along the coast line of the Andaman See through southern Thailand’s unseen provinces and national parks to the Gulf Coast. Visit the mangrove forest of Phang Nag Marine National park, jungles, natural pools, caves, secluded waterfalls and hidden temples of Krabi, Trang and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces. The tour ends in Surat Thani the perfect starting point for a beach holiday at Koh Samui, Koh Phangan or romantic Koh Tao. Ideal tour for travelers who want to combine the West and East coast of Thailand with a journey through the unspoiled nature of southern Thailand and its local communities. |

Day 1 Phuket – Krabi (L)
In the morning pick up from the hotel in Phuket and drive towards Phang Nga Bay. After arrival boat trip along dense mangrove forests and limestone rock of this marine national park. Visit Koh Tapu also known as James Bond Island and its famous mushroom rock. Afterwards, drive to a local floating village that is built on wooden stilts above the water of Phang Nga Bay. Visit the small village and enjoy lunch at sea food restaurant overlooking the bay and the surrounding islands. After lunch return by boat to the waiting car. Continue to Ao Luk district and visit the Than Bokkhorani National Park with a large variety of tropical plants, mangrove forests and a number of miniature waterfalls, crystal clear natural pools and a cave with prehistoric paintings. Afterwards, drive to Krabi town and check in at the hotel. Time to explore the town and visit a local night market.
Day 2 Krabi – Nakhon Si Thammarat (B/L)
After breakfast visit the nearby Khiriwong Valley and Wat Tham Suea also known as tiger cave temple. The temple is located on a 600 meter high limestone peak. Walk up more than 1.200 steps and enjoy the view from the top of the mountain overlooking limestone rock formation covered in green jungle and nearby rubber plantations (Optional). Afterwards, drive to The Emerald Pool. The pool is filled by thermal spring water whose unique mineral composition changes its color from crystal clear to deep green. Chance to swim and relax in the pool surrounded by the dense jungle. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue along a local road to Trang province and visit the cave of Tham Le Khao. Boat trip along a narrow stream through the cave and see spectacular stalactite and rock formations. Drive towards the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat. Visit the traditional shadow play performances at the Play House of Suchat Sapsin. The house and museum once received an award for the best cultural and historical site in Thailand. Afterwards, drive to the hotel and check in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3 Nakhon Si Thammarat – Surat Thani (B/L)
In the morning visit Wat Mahatat one of the oldest and most revered Buddhist temples of the South. After leaving the town, continue by small local road to the fascinating and secluded Promlok Waterfall. Swim and relax in a large natural pool overlooking the dense tropical jungles. From here a small road leads through orchards and small villages inland to Khao Lung National Park. Rafting along a mountain stream through the untouched nature of the surrounding mountain ranges. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, drive to Kanchanadit and visit the famous oyster farms surrounded by dense mangrove jungles. Continue to Surat Thani. Check in at the hotel. At night dinner on the banks of the river.
Day 4 Surat Thani (B)
After breakfast visit Thailand’s most famous monkey schools where a local farmer teaches monkeys to climb up coconut trees and collect only the ripe nuts. Trip by boat along the Tapi River and through small side arms passing mangrove forests, traditional wooden stilt houses and local fishermen. Afterwards, optional drop of at ferries to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao or at Surat Thani airport or train station.
Departure also possible from Khao Lak and Krabi.
Optional drop of at Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak, ferries to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao or at Surat Thani airport or train station. End of service.
