| Comprehensive visit to Thailand’s northern capital city Chiang Mai including a tour to the country’s highest mountain in Doi Inthanon National Park, a bamboo raft trip along the river and elephant trekking in the region’s dense tropical jungles. |

Day 1 Chiang Mai (L)
In the morning pick up at the hotel, airport or railway station. Visit the Wat Prathat Doi Suthep mountain temple. Enjoy a panoramic view from top of the sacred pilgrim site overlooking the city and the nearby province. Continue to the city’s many temples. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit Bo Sang manufactories and see its handmade umbrellas and brightly colored parasols. Time to visit certain local handicraft factories and decorated craft shops. In the afternoon return to Chiang Mai for overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Chiang Mai (B/L)
After breakfast drive to Doi Inthanon National Park. The park consists of high mountains, areas covered with moist evergreen forests and colorful tropical plants such as orchids and rhododendron. Because of its specific local climate the National Park inhabits the country’s largest number of bird species. On the way to the park stop over at local hot spring. Continue to the peak of Thailand’s highest mountain with an altitude of 2.565 meters. Time to visit the Royal Pagodas and discover the surrounding dense forests of Doi Inthanon Mountain. Afterwards, visit a nearby waterfall and see a local H’Mong and Karen hill tribe village and its Royal Farming Project. On the way back to Chiang Mai visit Lamphun and Wat Phra That Haripunchai. Transfer back to the hotel in Chiang Mai.
Day 3 Chiang Mai (B/L)
After breakfast drive to a nearby elephant camp north of the city. After arrival at the camp time to see Asian elephants taking a bath and hauling wood. Enjoy trekking on the back on an elephant through the surrounding green tropical jungle. Boat trip on a bamboo raft along the nearby river. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, visit one of Chiang Mai’s many colorful orchid farms. Return to Chiang Mai.
Optional drop of at Chiang Mai train station or Chiang Mai airport.
