Day 1 Huay Xai – Pakbeng
After arrival at the border pick up by our guide and transfer to the pier. Transfer by boat along the Mekong River towards Pakbeng. The small village is located on the River between the Thai border at Huay Xai and Luang Prabang. After arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Pakbeng.
Day 2 Pakbeng – Luang Prabang (B)
After breakfast in the hotel transfer by boat downriver. Visit the mysterious Pak Ou Cave which is packed with thousands of golden Buddha statues of various sizes. Continue by boat towards Luang Prabang passing unspoiled jungle and local villages along the banks of the Mekong River. After arrival in Luang Prabang transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 Luang Prabang (B)
The World Heritage Site belongs to one of the best preserved cities in South East Asia. After breakfast visit Wat Xiengthoung. The temple complex represents classical local temple architecture. Its chapel is richly decorated with a notable roof sweeping low to the ground. Continue to the city’s ancient temple Wat Visun. Enjoy a panoramic view from Mount Phousi overlooking the city and the surrounding landscape. Visit a local night market before transfer back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 4 Kuang Si Waterfall (B)
After breakfast transfer to Kuang Si Waterfall. Kuang Si is a picturesque multi-tiered waterfall located outside Luang Prabang surrounded by dense jungles. Time to swim in one of the natural pools or track along the pathways through the tropical rain forest. Return to the hotel. Time at your leisure to discover the peaceful city. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 Luang Prabang – Elephant Trekking (B)
After breakfast visit Ban Phanom. The traditional weaving village is home to Thai Lu people who immigrated from a province in Southern China. Transfer to a nearby Elephant Camp. Enjoy trekking on the back of an elephant through the surrounding evergreen jungle. Return to the hotel in Luang Prabang. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 Luang Prabang – Vang Vieng (B/L)
After breakfast transfer to Vang Vieng. The local back roads lead along rolling hills, villages and limestone rock formations jutting sharply above the flat river valleys. On the way stop over and time to photograph the region’s characteristic landscapes and local communities. Lunch at a restaurant in Muang Phoukhoune. After lunch visit a local minority village which is home to H'Mong people. Continue to the hotel in Vang Vieng. Check in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7 Vang Vieng (B)
After breakfast visit the Tham Chang Cave overlooking Vang Vieng and its surrounding countryside. Continue to Vang Vieng Mulberry organic farm. The farm is a pulsating center for a variety of projects dealing with the organic production of mulberry trees, organic fruits and vegetables. Transfer to the country’s capital city Vientiane. On the way visit a local village where people produce Sa Paper. Afterwards, visit the Caves of Vang Sang. Transfer to the hotel in Vientiane. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 Vientiane – City Tour (B)
After breakfast in the hotel visit to Wat Sisaket with its approximate 6.840 Buddha statues and Hor Prakeo with a collection of consecrated art objects including Buddha statues in various position of mediation. Visit to That Luang Stupa the national symbol of Laos. Continue the tour and visit Patuxay known as the Arc de Triumph of Vientiane. Time to enjoy the panoramic view from the top of the gate. Continue to the weaving village Ban Nong Buathong. Return to the hotel.
Day 9 Buddha Park (B)
After breakfast in the hotel transfer to Buddha Park 24km away from Vientiane. The sculpture park is surrounded by the banks of the mighty Mekong River and close to the Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge. It contains more than 200 Hindu and Buddhist statues including an over 40 meter high reclining Buddha. The statues are made of cement and are bizarre in its design. Return to Vientiane and visit a local market. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the charming city with its characteristic architecture. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10 Vientiane (B)
After breakfast time at your leisure until transfer to the airport in Vientiane for departure.
