Day 1 Pakse - Tadlo
After arrival pick up at the airport and transfer to Tadlo. On the way visit the Tad Waterfall. Continue to a coffee and tea plantation. Transfer to the hotel for check in. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Tadlo – Khong Island (B)
After breakfast in the hotel visit the Wat Phou temple complex. The temple predates structures at Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Continue to the 4000 Islands archipelago on the Mekong River. Khong Island is the largest island in the area offering peaceful monasteries and one of the most scenic and remote landscapes in Laos. Check in at the hotel and overnight stay at Khong Island.
Day 3 Khong Island – Liphi Khoneprapheng - Pakse (B)
After breakfast boat trip along the Mekong River towards the local village of Ban Khone with its French colonial buildings and the first Lao railway. Afterwards, transfer to the Liphi waterfalls. The waterfall is the most impressive one of marking the end of Lao border line to Cambodia. A calmer part of the river below the falls forms a natural habitat for the rare fresh water dolphins. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4 Khone Phapheng Waterfall (B)
After breakfast in the hotel transfer to the Khone Phapheng Waterfalls. Measured by its volume Khone Phapheng is the largest waterfall in South East Asia and the most interesting and popular attraction in the province. Among the waterfall's many channels and rocky outcrops the area is a spot for local fishermen using traditional fishing techniques. Continue to Bane Veunkham village. Afterwards, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5 Pakse (B)
After breakfast in the hotel time at your leisure until transfer to the airport for departure.
