The River Kwai Jungle Raft Resort is, as the name suggests, a floating hotel that has existed since 1976 and floats on one of the most historic rivers in Asia. As one of the most traditional hotels of its kind, it is repeatedly receiving international awards. The resort is made of natural materials, especially bamboo, which adds to the resorts fantastic ability to blend perfectly with the beautiful landscape. There is no electricity. The resort is equipped with hundreds of kerosene lanterns, as are the 112 rooms. This provides an unmatched surreal feeling. Despite seeming basic, the rooms are practical. Air conditioning and fans are not needed since the flowing river keeps the entire resort cool. For tourists searching for peace and quiet, and for those who are a little more adventurous and looking for a place in the middle of beautiful wildlife, this is the perfect place.

There are important historical sites as the infamous Hell Fire Pass and the Prasat Muang Sing Historical Park. It is believed that this site was the most western outpost from the Angkor Khmer Empire.
